Titus 2 woman
The first blog that opened up the Biblical Womanhood was on Gossiping, however, I wish I could have rather started off with this blog. Therefore, I know it is not too late to fix my mistake, so I will do a reintroduction to this Biblical Womanhood Blog Ministry properly.
Apostle Paul in Titus 2:3-5 says, "Older women likewise are to be reverent in behaviour, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled".
Currently, most of my audience are not wives or mothers yet, however, we are all relatively older or younger to some women in our lives and can be a great resource for them to learn from. I know quite a few women from afar, who through their social media ministries have blessed me greatly as a lady who desires to be a mother and a wife in the future. It is important to note that not everyone has to have an online ministry, it is important to also pour into the ladies around you and edify each other in person. Lately, my prayer to God has been to have an older woman, married with a family, to disciple me physically. Undoubtedly, unbelievers are looking sharply at anyone professing Christ to see if they truly are conducting themselves as they should. Therefore, are you setting an example to women of your age or in the faith around you?
It is important to note that discipleship is an important aspect of a believer’s growth. We must desire to have elders in the faith to disciple us so that we may also disciple others after us. It is saddening when discipleship is not a priority in the church. Outside the Sunday service, there has to be a continuation of learning and teaching throughout the week so that new believers may know how to navigate the everyday life as Christians. Friends may disciple friends as long as both are not recent converts because immature believers can easily lead each other astray. This is my reason for preferring an older woman and most likely why the bible commands it.
To conclude, I pray this ministry fulfils this scripture of Titus 2 with biblically grounded discussions on marriage and motherhood. However, I will continue sharing the bit of knowledge and thoughts I have until we get there, God willing. I urge you ladies to do better, may we know and be Titus 2 women. Amen.
Yours in Christ
