The Word for 2022!

Hey! I hope you are all well. I was gone for a good minute but I am back now. I hope you love the website's new look. I took a 2-month break to think hard about where I want the blog to be in the future and I am glad that God was faithful. I can not wait to see what the Lord has for all of us this year.

Last year was a lot for me. Things didn't go as I thought they would. I had a lot of losses compared to wins but through it all, God was with me. The Lord is truly Sovereign and I did not understand this until I went through trials and realised that I cannot rely on my own strength. Nevertheless, I am grateful for all the spiritual growth.

The word for 2022 is literally that: The Word. The Bible. The whole counsel of God. I tried (and failed) reading the whole Bible last year and I am going to try again this year. One thing I learned in 2021 is that reading the Bible requires discipline. You will not always feel like reading the Bible. In fact, you will not want to read the Bible most of the time but you have to go against your feelings. They are not the Truth and therefore cannot dictate to you what or what not to do. I pray that I go against my feelings and flesh this year and I abide in the Word of God.

You are most welcome to join me on this journey. This reading plan is meant to be an addition to your own personal in-depth study of the Word. I will be documenting my journey here on the blog, Instagram and on YouTube. You can download the Blue Letter Bible App and subscribe for free to the Canonical Plan (1 Yr) so that you keep track of your reading otherwise I will be posting weekly posts on Instagram about where we at so that you do not have to always go back to the pdf file.

I pray that you have a new year that is filled with God. Commit your plans to Him and trust that His will is good and perfect no matter what happens.

Yours in Christ
